Design drawing titled "Bureau of French Walnut" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Rectangular dresser has slightly projecting front corners and front center section; overhanging marble top; five drawers in a three-over-two arrangement; round pulls on three top drawers; bail handles and carved moldings on lower drawers; key escutcheons on center top and lower two drawers; skirt with dropped center rail; projecting square fluted front stiles with carved quatrefoils in blocks above; and tapered square fluted legs with cuffs and spade feet. Title, design notes, "Made for C. Vanderbilt Order 27951" and "11315" are handwritten on drawing.
