Description

Design drawing titled "Bureau of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Rectangular bureau has overhanging top; narrow backbaord with concave corners; five drawers in a two-over-three arrangement with top tier of two drawers projecting slightly; round glass knobs and key escutcheons on lower drawers; stiles in the form of Ionic columns; straight skirt; and short tapered round legs with cuffs. Oval mirror with narrow frame is supported by two S-shaped arm supports which attach to backboard. Title and design notes are handwritten on drawing.
