Description

Design drawing titled "Bureau of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view of bureau is shown; plan of top is also provided. Bowfront bureau has overhanging top with molded edge; low backboard with concave corners; four drawers; inlaid klyix on top drawer; square stiles with inlaid bellflowers; straight skirt; and tapered feet with cuffs. Oval mirror has narrow frame and is supported by two turned tapered column which attach to backboard of bureau and have ovoid finials. Title, design notes, "For W. R.. Holmes" and "11584" are handwritten on drawing.
