Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Chippendale-style rectangular bureau has slighlty projecting front center section; overhanging top with molded edge; shallow backboard with shaped ends; four drawers iwith bail handles and bat-wing back plates; large carved anthemion on center of top drawer; reeded stiles; straight skirt with molded lower edge; and large ball-and-claw feet. Rectangular mirror rests on backboard and has frame with beaded interior molding; shaped crest with scrolled cut outs; and carved phoenix in center open medallion. "12098" and "12154" are handwritten on drawing beside mirror and chest, respectively.
