"Dressing Case of Oak"

Description

Design drawing titled "Dressing Case of Oak" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Piece is comprised of a bureau with large attached mirror above and tall cupboard on one side. Tall rectangular bureau has overhanging top; six drawers with bail handles arranged in a two-over-four arrangement; and rectangular panel between two top drawers with carved diamond motif. Large rectangular mirror has wide frame and extends the full width of the bureau. To the right of bureau is a tall cupboard with interior sliding tray drawers; hinged door with rectangular molded panel; crown molding; and a deep drawer with bail handles beneath the cupboard. Bureau and cupboard/drawer section rest on rectangular base with molded top edge. Title and design notes are handwritten on drawing.
