Design drawing titled "Bureau" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Bowfront bureau has overhanging top; backboard; six drawers with two small drawers stacked on each side of deep center drawer and one wide drawer at bottom; inlaid, painted or carved kylix and foliate garlands on center drawer; bail handles on all drawers except center; reeded columnar stiles; straight skirt; and carved tapered feet. Oval mirror has narrow frame with carved ribbon garland at top and is attached to backboard by two tapered reeded columnar supports with turned finials and large curved brackets at bottom. Brackets have inlaid, painted or carved scrolling foliate morifs. Title, design notes, "For H. P. Bridge" and "11603" are handwritten on drawing.
