Printed paisley stripe - multicolored paisleys on plum/brown ground alternates with band of five stripes (light blue, red, white, yellow, and green) with stylized and geometric floral patterns. Quilted plum taffeta around neck, shoulders and center front to hem. Cuffs with bell-shaped sleeves (also used as lining for front); large silk buttons at center front with loop closure extending from neck to hem (two buttons missing). Sleeves and back skirt lined with navy blue ribbed silk; cartridge pleats at back. Piped neck, armscye, and waist; large pocket on right; smaller pocket on left seam. Bodice lined with tan glazed cotton; inner bodice is boned and had lace closure with handstitched eyes.
