Description

Brown wool challis; high neckline; long sleeves with box pleats and covered buttons at shoulder and tucked inner arm. Turned back cuffs; center front of bodice, cape, and collar trimmed with olive velvet in scalloped pattern with brown silk tape. Tucks above and below waist; bodice support is boned and has brass eyes for laced closure and made of brown glazed linen. Hook and eye closure with sixteen covered buttons at center front. Hem lined with green wool and edged with brown wool tape; pocket on side. Cape, collar, and sleeves lined with green silk; green silk piping at neckline of dress, cape, and collar. Lace handkerchief found in pocket.
