Description

Design drawing titled "Dressing Case with Tray Drawers" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Rectangular chest of drawers has overhanging top; two shallow drawers with bail handles; cupboard with two hinged doors; square stiles; and tapered square feet with cuffs and casters. Small recessed rectangular compartment with one shallow drawer is atop chest. Rectangular mirror with arched crest has narrow frame and is attached at its base to top of recessed drawer compartment. Inlaid decoration includes oval patera on cupboard drawers, bellflowers on stiles, and stringing throughout. Title, design notes and "Geo. Sykes" are handwritten on drawing.
