Description

Design drawing titled "Chest of Drawers of Red Mahogany with Painted Decoration" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Bowfront chest has overhanging top with molded edge; cupboard with two hinged doors; three drawers with bail handles and key escutcheons; and rectangular base with molded rim. Painted decoration includes basket of fruit with foliate swags and ribbons on cupboard doors and bellflowers on stiles. Title and design notes are handwritten on drawing.
