Design drawing titled "Light Chair of Mahogany" rendered in ink on trace. Perspective view is shown. Neoclassical-style side chair has curved crest with center swelled section; splat formed by five curved vertical elements joined at middle; upsholstered slip seat; straight seat rails; raked rectangular back legs; and reeded tapered square front legs with spade feet. Back has extensive carved ornamentation including bellflowers, rosettes, and beading on crest rail and upper portion of splat and drapery swag at top of splat. Title and "H. P. McKean Jr." are handwritten on the drawing.
