Description

Design drawing titled "Light Chair of Cherry" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Side chair has tilted oval caned back with molded rim and carved bowknot motif on top; curved stiles with carved acanthus leaves; seat with molded rim; molded seat rails with quatrefoil-carved corner blocks; and tapered round fluted legs with cuffed ovoid feet. Title, design notes, "11486," "J. B. W. . Feb. 20 -1907" and "Order 28121 / Made for C. Vanderbilt" are handwritten on drawing.
