Side chair has deep rectangular crest rail with painted basket and foliate swags; lower rail composed of two thin slats joined in middle; pierced splat with Gothic tracery patterns and center rosette in an oval cartouche; square stiles with pyramidal tops; upholstered seat with single row of metal tacks along bottom edge; raked rear legs; fluted tapered square legs with spade feet; and front and H-stretchers. "4311" is handwritten on drawing.
