Black and white photograph with black painted wood frame. Typed legend reads: Nickels-Sortwell House, Wiscasset, Maine. This picture taken in 1873 was given by Joseph Erskine who was born in the house in 1874. His father Sanuel [sic] Erskine owed [sic] the house at that time and used it as an Inn.
