Arm Chair

Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in ink on trace. Perspective view is shown. Arm chair has rectangular crest rail which rolls at top and is inscribed "R F C to / [?] / 1881;" pierced splat composed of two crisscrossed polo mallets with dangling slings and three polo balls; lower rail composed of two thin dowels; shaped splats extending from underside of crest rail; straight flattened arms with rounded ends; columnar arm supports with ring turnings; upholstered seat with single row of metal tacks along bottom edge; straight seat rails with rounded front corners; raked square rear legs; and tapered round front legs with ring turnings at top and ovoid feet. "Dedham Polo Club" and "1217" are handwritten on drawing.
