Description

Design drawing titled "Modern French Chair" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown; top plan of seat is also provided. Armchair has caned back with curved crest rail, sides and lower rail; scrolling foliate carving on crest and lower rails; shaped arms with curved handholds; curved arm supports with carved acanthus leaves; caned seat with serpentine front; shaped seat rails with carved scrolling foliage and shells in front; and carved cabriole legs with scrolled toe and peg feet. Title, design notes, and "11546" are handwritten on drawing.
