Transitional Queen Anne to Chippendale-style armchair has curved crest rail with large central carved shell; shaped stiles; pierced lyre-shaped splat with carved scrolls, crosshatching and foliage; shaped arms with foliate carved scrolled handholds and curved arm supports; upholstered seat; fluted front seat rail; raked rear legs; and cabriole front legs with acanthus-carved knees and ball-and-claw feet. "Odd 327" is handwritten on drawing.
