Upholstered easy chair has tall back with serpentine crest; curved wings atop outwardly flaring arms; scrolled arm supports; straight seat rail with projecting knees; floral and foliate carving on arm supports and seat rails; elaborate legs with ring and acanthus-carved vasiform turnings and carved blocks; carved feet with casters; and H-stretcher with pierced teardrop shapes on middle stretcher. "Payne Whitney / 46870" and "3370" are handwritten on drawing.
