Description

Design drawing titled "Secretary's Chair" rendered in ink on trace. Perspective view is shown. Arm chair has rectangular plank back with scrolled crest rail; carved armorial crest and foliage on crest rail; rectangular stiles with carved medaillon and foliate motifs above arms; curved arms with large scrolled handholds; scrolled arm supports; flat leather seat with large metal tacks along all edges; rectangular block legs; plain rear stretchers; side stretchers with scalloped lower edge; very large carved front stretcher with center oval cartouche flankded by scrolled panels. Back of chair is engraved as follows: "Secretary / J F C '87 BQ '88 / T P '89 L T 90." Title is handwritten on drawing.
