Renaissance Revival-style arm chair has tall fully upholstered rectangular back; large rocaille carved and gilded finials; fully upholstered rectangular seat; two rows of metal tacks along outer upholstered edges; square stiles below back extending into raked rear legs; shaped curved arms with large scrolled handholds; arm supports with foliate carved turnings and square blocks; front legs with ball, ring, and block turnings and flattened disc feet; rectangular rear stretcher; turned H-stretcher; and large front stretcher with carved scrolled elements flanking a center cartouche. Title and one note regarding gilding are handwritten on drawing.
