Dinner suggestions menu, The Copley Plaza, Copley Square, Boston, Mass., January 19, 1940

Description

The menu verso states the hotel has featured photos and autographs of notable persons who stayed in the hotel during the past twenty years. The photograph is President Woodrow Wilson leaving the hotel. Wilson had just returned from Europe on the S.S. George Washington which landed in Boston on February 24, 1919. On the right side of the image is Calvin Coolidge who was then Governor of Massachusetts. The front of the menu is a reproduction of the guest register signed "Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson" and dated Monday, February 24, 1919. A set of the menus is available and the hotel will provide the envelope and postage.
