Description

Untitled scrapbook. Scrapbook has brown fabric cover. "SB" is handwritten on spine. Scrapbook contains 138 pages, 55 of which are blank. The materials in this scrapbook document tables, chests, chairs, mirrors, and pianos. There is no table of contents. The bulk of the materials are clippings from periodicals and newspapers. Many of the chairs were, at the time, owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While most of the furniture depicted dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there ae earlier pieces as well as modern reproductions. Three design drawings on trace are also included. Digital images of these drawings are attached to this record.
