Untitled scrapbook. Scrapbook has dark brown fabric cover and is held together by two metal brads. Scrapbook contains 82 pages and 41 albumen prints of tapestries. This is the first of five scrapbooks dedicated to tapestries; the pagination continues across each book. The tapestries are shown flat as well as in use as furniture upholstery. Most prints have a legend containing: a number, "Garde-Meuble" and a caption such as "Tapisserie de Beauvais, style Louis XVI" followed by initials such as "L. L." as shown on page 6. It is believed that the prints have been taken from "Les tapisseries decoratives du Garde-Meuble (Mobilier National): Choix des plus beaux motifs" which was pubkshed in two volumes from 1878 to 1881. Each page has handwritten notations in the margins including information on size and quality, some of which are written in a code. Digital images of a sample of prints from the album are attached to this record.
