Laborers working on a sidewalk, Munich, Germany

Description

Laborers dig a pit in a sidewalk next to a building and fill the edge of the street with supplies across from a park or lawn with trees and a small structure. Pedestrians walk along the street. The building bears a sign for Münchener Bürger-Bräu ("Munich Citizens Beer"), probably an advertisement or reference to Bürgerbräukeller (or Bürger Bräu Keller), a beer house in Munich, Germany, popular with the Nazi party and site of an assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler by Georg Elser in 1939. The building does not appear to be the Bürgerbräukeller, but is perhaps just sporting an advertisement.
