Description

Maître Jacques was founded in 1957 by Lucien and Martha Ann Robert. The restaurant was a precursor to Maison Robert which was located for many years in the Old City Hall building on School Street. Text on the menu verso reads "Maître Jacques is the symbol of the Norman peasant and his motto is 'C'ést mén dré et mé j'y tiens, It is my right and I intend to keep it.'"
