Description

Untitled portfolio. Album has a dark gray fabric covering and dark gray fabric ties. A book plate is glued inside the front cover and reads: "Irving / and / Casson / Custom Furniture, / Interior Finish, / Wood Mantels, / Decorations and / Upholstery. / Church Furniture. / 150 Boylston St. / Boston." Handwritten on the inside front cover is "No. 9."

The portoflio contains fourteen photographs mounted with gray paper mats. The photographs depict a variety of furniture pieces including console tables, a sofa, arm chair, side chair, night tables, bed and a mirror. All pieces are in a French Rococo Style and appear to have been designed as a group. Numbers (which may be order or model numbers) are handwritten on four photographs. One photograph has the following stamped on the back: "Property of / Irving & Casson / to be returned to / 150 Boylston St., Boston, Mass." No other identifying information is found on any of the photographs. Digital images of a selection of photographs from the portfolio are attached to this record.
