Description

Southworth was secretary of the Republican State Committee. The invited guests, listed on the menu verso, included Massachusetts Governor Oliver Ames and other persons in state government. The guests dined on English turbot, beef, Green Goose, lamb cutlets and Roman Punch. The Bunker Hill Monument decorates the menu cover.
