Description

Small, rectangular serving dish (b) on feet with lid (a) and tray (c). Part of a "Hampden" pattern dinner service for twelve. Designed by Christopher Dresser and produced by the Old Hall Earthenware Company, England. All three pieces have a light cream-colored body with aqua trim, decorated with a transfer-printed and overpainted pattern of flowers and geometric designs in aqua, blues, yellow, brown and black. The dish and the lid knop have molded, geometric side handles with metallic gold accents.
