The Clarence Edwards School, still in use today, is located at 28 Walker St. in Charlestown, Mass. It was built in 1932 by John M. Gray Co. Architects, a Boston-based firm founded by John M. Gray in 1912.

John Matthew Gray was born in Salem, Mass in 1887. He received his architectural degrees from Carnegie Institute in 1908, MIT in 1910, and Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His architectural firm is still active today.
