Description

Bevel-edged board with square painting in center; trompe l'oeil nail at top edge and a brown painted frame. The image depicts a river with an island at the left and a sailboat at the right; on the left bank a black-haired shepherdess sits with her dog, three sheep and one lamb. On the right bank is a large yellow house with white fence and poplars which faces the river. To its left is a white church surrounded by trees. A white mountain rises in the distance against a pink, white, and blue sky in which birds fly.
