One of a pair of hand-held fans consisting of round, wooden body with scalloped edges and carved ivory handle. The fan body is black lacquer and hand-painted, primarily in gold, with floral bouquet incorporating mother-of-pearl. The edge of the fan is inlaid with small pieces of mother-of-pearl.
