Description

This house dress or dressing gown is constructed from cotton patterned with both block and roller printed designs in a scrolling floral vine repeat with pink flowers and blue leaves on a beige-colored, striped ground. Lined in a contrasting, dark brown-colored ground cotton print of small cream-colored diamond diaper pattern. Sleeves are typical of the period, an exaggerated "leg o' mutton" style set into the armseyes with numerous small pleats. Yoke neckline. Opening down center front.
