Description

Each panel in this set of eight is composed of two printed textile lengths machine-stitched together, a main pattern and a border pattern, each printed in purple, yellow, blue, green and red on a cream-colored ground. The main body pattern is a small repeat of alternating red and blue floral sprays. The border is a repeating pattern of an elaborate vase filled with flowers, set in greek key-edged reserves. Below that repeating frieze is a series of striped floral borders. The ground is a loose, plain weave. Each panel carries a printed paper tag pinned at a lower corner [see Inscriptions].
