Description

This side curtain is made from a single width of roller and block-printed cotton, lined, with six small brass curtain rings attached to the back of the gathered top edge. The dark ground chintz depicts a pair of birds flanking a large basket filled with flowers. The lining is twill-weave cotton. The textile is either an early example made up into a later window curtain or a revival print, as the lining and brass rings date to the early twentieth century.
