This cut fragment of velvet repp was embellished with an hand-painted river landscape, edged with pine trees. On the right side of the river are sited three small buildings, the largest of which has a water-powered wheel. A possible artist's block mark in red ink is stamped at the lower left corner of the landscape. The verso bears an applied paper label [see notepad].
