Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Sofa has double-chair back form similar to a wing chair; tall back with double arch crest; curved wings which terminate in outwardly scrolling arms; straight seat; fully upholstered back, wings, arms and seat; three front legs with carved ovoid and rectangule turnings; raked square rear legs beneath a turned bulb; turned H-stretchers; and very elaborate front wide stretcher with carved scrolls and leaf motifs. Handwritten on drawing is "F. R. Babcck Pittsburgh."
