Description

Black-and-white photograph of Chippendale-style side chair has shaped crest with elaborate foliate carving at center and foliate carved ears; pierced splat with Gothic tracery pattern; trapezoidal seat with over-the-rail upholstery; square legs which are raked in back; straight square front legs with extensive carving; and C-scroll front brackets. Arm chair has curved shaped arrms with scrolled handholds and curving arm supports. Handwritten notes on photograph are A. H. Davenport Co. detail numbers "576" and "7850."
