Description

Black-and-white photograph of a Neoclassical-style side chair and arm chair. Both chairs have a molded shield-shaped back with carved kylix in an oval cartouche at top with foliate swags and shell motifs, five pierced ribs, and a bottom lunette; molded stiles; upholstered seat with serpentine front and bottom edge; raked rectangular rear legs; and tapered square front legs. Arm chair has curved arms and arm supports. Handwritten notes on page include A. H. Davneport Co. detail number "774" and wood type.
