Description

Black-and-white photograph of two shaving stands with mirrors. The first shaving stand has a square or rectangular case on a round columnar pole; triangular base; and flattened bun feet. Oval mirror is attached to top of pole by two curving support arms. The second shaving stand has small square case with one drawer and one cupboard; round pull on drawer; side door for cupboard; cupboard front with branch veneer and inlaid patera; four tall tapered square legs that flare outward and have inlaid stringing and banded cuffs; and lower shelf with concave front. Adjustable oval mirror is attached at sides to lyre-shaped support with two curved arms; bottom of lyre support has inlaid kylix and garland motif and is attached to top of case. Handwritten notes on page include wood type and A. H. Davenport Co. detail numbers 5326 and 12277.
