Description

Design drawing titled "Dining Table of Mahogany" rendered in watercolor and pencil. Front view is shown; plan of top is also provided. Empire-style dining table has round top; straight apron with molded lower edge; square pedestal with canted corners, shaped concave sides, and molded top and bottom; cruciform-shaped base with molded edges; and four large paw feet. Table can extend into oval shape with addition of an extra top leaf. Title and dimensions are handwritten on drawing. Embossed on lower left corner is "Return to / A. H. Davenport Co. / 96 Washington St. / Boston, Mass."
