Description

Design drawing titled "Console Table and Gold Mirror" rendered in watercolor and pencil. Front view is shown; side view of table is also provided. Neoclassical-style rectangular console table has overhanging marble top; straight apron with carved beaded molding on bottom edge, rosettes at corners, basket of fruit at center; straight rear legs; front fluted legs with acanthus-carved Flemish scroll at top; large paw feet below blocks with carved rosettes; plain side stretchers; and front stretcher with molded edges. Tall rectangular pier mirror has frame with center arch on top; beaded moldings on exterior and interior edges; and large carved basket of fruit flanked by scrolls and fruit-filled cornucopia atop frame. Mirror and carved elements on table are gilded. Title and design notes are handwritten on drawing.
