Text on the brochure reads "The Olde Tavern Hotel is built around the South Wing of the original Higgins' Tavern, operated from 1829 to 1861 by Capt. Simeon Higgins, one of the area's leading packet captains." A separate reservation blank has season and off-season rates written in ink.
