Description

The box illustrates the basic principles in the manufacture of cotton cloth with samples of the following: 1)Raw cotton, 2)Cleaned and carded, 3)Card sliver, a drawing-out process, 4) Roving, a process of spinning, 5)Finished yarn, fully spun ready for the loom, 6)Furnished sample of a Lady Pepperell Sheet. The inside of the box cover lists Pepperell products such as bed linens, crib blankets, shirts and an electric blanket.
