Photograph depicts interior of room looking at an external door with several windows on each side. A staircase stands in the left corner. In the room are several pieces of furnture including a desk, chairs, a piano, a spindle, and a stand holding a sculpture. The room contains many lamps and decorative items.
On the reverse of the photograph is written "Stephen Waterman, Providence RI" and "Hall- Beach Bluffs" There is also a print of a greenhouse on the reverse of the photograph and an additional oval mat for the back of the print.
The photograph was removed from a 19th century wooden frame that was probably not original to the photograph.
