Description

Seaman's chest. Pine, painted. Rectangular hinged lid with molded edge on a conforming dove-tail constructed box. Grained with red and brown and decorated with green, black, and yellow swags and a heart under the lock; painted with initials and date. Carved wooden bracket handles at sides. Rests on a quarter round molded base.
