Unstructured dress, most likely for indoor/informal wear, made with cream, green, and brown small-scale woven silk check with a black taffeta standing band collar and a black taffeta scalloped edge center front appliqué from neck to hem. Same taffeta appliqué on cuff hems of long sleeves. Self-piping at collar, armscye, and all other seams. Black taffeta patch pocket with box pleat at right side decorated with bow of black gros-grain. Gros-grain bows at cuffs. Black gros-grain covered buttons from neck to hem down center front. Back of dress set with box pleats. The dress interior is fully lined with tan glazed cotton. Green wool tape stitched in lining at back, and one pair cotton twill tape ties located in lining near hipline.
