Description

The case has a guitar-like shape; on a red background are applied stylized swags and a design of a potted tree and various crescent and circular devices; there is a hinged cover of the clockface; the clockface is tombstone-shaped and painted white with gilt and red flourishes at the spandrels and crest; black arabic numerals; the weights and the pendulum hang through a hole in the base.

Branded on the inside of the case is ""3 x 5-""IISNS."" On a paper label on the inside of the case is the number ""320.""
