The strainer is circular and shallow in form, with a rolled rim. It is pierced at the base with a design of hearts, diamonds, ellipses, and circles. It is raised on three applied tapered feet. Printed in blue with a willow pattern on the face enclosed by a trellis or scale border, the outside and rim have scale, medallian and trellis banding.
