The Summer Camp Memory Book, 1893-2005

Description

This series contains materials directly related to the publication of The Summer Camp Memory Book. This includes research materials, correspondence with Crown Publishers, Inc., contracts, book graphics and artwork, and responses to the book. There are numerous photographic agreements and correspondence between the Gutmans and various summer camps. This series also includes an early, handwritten draft of The Summer Camp Memory Book, a copyedited manuscript, a caption and box manuscript, and an uncorrected proof. Two copies of The Summer Camp Memory Book are located in series III. One Summer Camp exhibition text panel was moved from Series I, Folder 9 to Series II, Folder 29. With the exception of materials collected for research purposes, the majority of the items in this series are from the 1980s. Reproductions of research materials and other items were likely made in the 1980s.
