Description

Set of fifteen architectural drawings of house for developer Arnold Hartmann in Newton, Massachusetts (commission #197) including five elevations, four plans, three framing plans, plot plan, and two details. Drawings are in pencil on trace. No drawings are dated or signed.

Drawings depict a two-story Tudor Revival-style house with a tower, slate roof, and a brick, stucco, and timber exterior. House has vestibule, living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. A maid's room and bath are shown in the attic level; a work room and a one-car garage are on the basement level. Drawings for a detached two-car garage are also present.
